Privacy Policy

LearnQuest is an early-stage educational technology project founded by Ella Lukasiewicz. This Privacy Policy explains how LearnQuest collects, uses, stores, and shares information when users access the platform.

Information we collect

We may collect account information such as name, email address, role, class membership, uploaded educational materials, exercise answers, AI conversation history, mistakes, progress information, validation requests, and classroom analytics.

Use of AI providers, including Anthropic Claude

LearnQuest uses third-party artificial intelligence providers, including Anthropic’s Claude API, to generate explanations, feedback, guided reasoning, concept support, mistake analysis, and educational assistance.

When you use AI-powered features, the content you provide may be sent to these providers for processing. This may include prompts, exercise questions, uploaded educational materials, student answers, mistakes, learning progress, and related context needed to generate a response.

According to Anthropic’s published commercial data-use documentation, Anthropic does not use inputs or outputs from its commercial products, including the Anthropic API, to train its models by default, unless the customer explicitly opts in or provides feedback. Anthropic’s own terms, privacy documentation, and data retention practices may apply to this processing.

Third-party services

LearnQuest may rely on third-party services for hosting, authentication, database storage, deployment, analytics, and AI processing. These may include Vercel, Supabase, and Anthropic.

Classroom visibility

If you use LearnQuest through a class or assignment, professors or classroom administrators may be able to view assignment progress, validation requests, submitted work, mistakes, and learning analytics related to that class.

Sensitive information

Users should not submit highly sensitive personal information, confidential documents, medical information, financial information, official school records, or content they are not authorized to share.
